"Mission Art"

Sometimes on my mission I will sketch. It may be on a Preparation Day, during Art class that I taught, or I maybe drawing instead of writing in a journal--a picture is worth thousand words, etc. Sometimes words just isn't enough, I hold my pen and it rebels at how limited words can be at times and just goes off on its own to express what my heart feels. Often that happens in intense struggling of heart, when it feels like it's going to burst and needs the hands of the divinity to either keep it together, strengthen, or replace it with stronger, more able heart. So some of them may seem more of a "sad" kind of drawings, but to me, they hold very sacred meanings and moments from my mission.

All Grown Up and Savin' God's Children, , ,

I got my mission call!!!!! (On Wednesday)

But I had to wait until Friday for my family to arrive so we can open it together!

So here's the news:

I have been called as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!!

My initial assignment is to labor in the China Hong Kong Mission!!!

I will be preaching the gospel in the Cantonese language!!!!!!!!

And then my beloved roommate Jayne made the following comment:

"Sniff, My little Baby's all grown up, and... and, savin' China."

A reference to the amazing Disney Animated movie Mulan!

So I just had to make this adjustment to the picture of Mulan I found :] :]

We had a wonderful time watching Mulan that night to celebrate ^^
